Alexandra, a 15-year-old on the brink of maturity, is devastated to learn that her mother is sending her to spend the summer with her aunt in Provincetown, MA instead of allowing her to sail away with her best friend. Penda, Alexandra’s aunt, is more than eager to have her young niece stay, but the visit begins under less than ideal circumstances for both of them as their dynamic personalities clash.
Over the course of the summer, in the grip of a blossoming ‘first romance’ and through a family tragedy that affects Alexandra deeply, the young woman learns that not only are things not always what they seem; but sometimes, the things that we thought we didn’t need are the very things that save us from ourselves.
The rush of the first taste of idependence, the struggle to find who you are, the first blush of love... Ah, to be on the brink of adulthood!
Take a look and discover that no matter how old you are, you're never "too old" to remember.
